Kathy: After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to adirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never beenclosed. There was no fence.As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree andreading a book."Excuse me!" he called to the man. "Do you have any water?""Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in.""How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog."There should be a bowl by the pump."They went through the gate,

Kathy: cont'd"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked."Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought rightup."The man gestured, and the gate began to open."Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the travelerasked."I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continuedthe way he had been going with his dog.

"Waterboys" Review

A Japanese comedy about a boys synchronized swimming team. The swimming team at an all boys school seems to be going down the hole, until a young and attractive female teacher comes to their rescue. A whole ban of boys come to the fronts of the swim tryouts, only to realize she was not intending to coach swimming, but synchronized swimming. With only 5 quirky boys left up to the challenge, she ends up going on maternity leave, before she can train them. They are left to do all the work themselves without all the other boys at their school making fun of their girly club. This film shows many scrawny japanese boys in speedos. A little bit of japanese high school romance. And a great show at the end. Made in 2001, written and directed by Shinobu Yaguchi, won "Best Newcomer" and "Best Music Score" in the Japanese Academy Awards.
